Random letters, one draw at a time

Choose an alphabet, a case and a filter, then draw up to 100 letters. Turn on No repeats to get letters that never appear twice.

Letters

Your letters will appear here.

    How to use it

    1. Pick an alphabet: English A–Z, or Spanish A–Z plus Ñ.
    2. Choose uppercase or lowercase, and whether you want all letters, only vowels or only consonants.
    3. Set how many letters you need, from 1 to 100. With No repeats on, the count cannot be larger than the chosen alphabet.
    4. Draw the letters, then copy them or download them as a .txt file. Every draw is independent of the last one.

    Questions

    Is every letter equally likely?

Yes. Each draw picks one letter from the chosen alphabet with the browser's cryptographic random numbers, and every letter has the same chance before every draw.

    What does No repeats change?

Each letter can appear only once in the result, so the count is limited to the filtered alphabet: 26 letters in English, 27 with Ñ, 5 vowels, or 21 consonants (22 with Ñ).

How is Ñ treated in Spanish?

Ñ belongs to the Spanish alphabet and counts as a consonant. With the vowels filter only A, E, I, O and U are drawn, in either alphabet.

    Are the results saved?

No. Draws stay in the page while it is open; nothing is stored, and the letters are not sent anywhere.
